SENIOR STAGE MANAGEMENT

Stage Commanders, Deputy Stage Commanders and Stage Safety Officers
Be part of a stage management team that manages a targa stage. Requirements for the above positions:

Good management skills
Recruitment skills
Good personnel communications skills
Ability to handle difficult situations

Targa Stage Control Points
Post Chiefs - This person will be in charge of the control point. This person needs to be completely familiar with all aspects of the operation of the control point they are in charge of and are also responsible for the recruitment and training of staff to ensure the control point's efficient running.

Time and Control Card Recorders - Recording times on either a Control Sheet or competitors Time Card. It is important that these people have neat/legible handwriting and are able to handle pressure under extreme conditions.

Runners - transferring the time cards between the control table and the competitors vehicles - you must be fit to this.

Starter - starting vehicles at 30 second intervals

Communications operators - transfer times between the Flying Finish and the Stop Point. For this position you must have a clear voice.

Targa Stage Spectator Marshals
Spectator Marshals - are required to make sure that all spectators remain in a safe location as per the guidelines set down by the event organisers.

Targa Stage Road Closure Marshals
Road Closure Marshals - maintain a presence at junctions, side roads and tracks intersect the course to prevent entry on to the closed stages.
